Chantilly Heights is proud to welcome LaToya Brown as the community’s new Executive Director. With more than 30 years of healthcare experience and a lifelong passion for supporting seniors, LaToya brings compassionate leadership, extensive knowledge, and a strong commitment to creating meaningful experiences for residents and families.
LaToya’s journey in senior care began at just 15 years old when she started working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing facility. Over the next years, she gained valuable hands-on caregiving experience while pursuing higher education, earning an associate’s degree in Arts and Science, a bachelor’s degree in Health Systems Management, and a master’s degree in Business Administration and Management.
Her dedication to senior living led her to grow into several leadership roles throughout her career, including Life Enrichment Manager, Reminiscence Coordinator, Resident Care Coordinator, Director of Assisted Living, Assisted Living Administrator, Associate Executive Director, and Executive Director. These experiences have shaped her personalized and compassionate approach to care and leadership.
“I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing community,” LaToya shared. “I truly look forward to spending time with the residents, families, and staff while creating meaningful moments together.”
Now at Chantilly Heights, LaToya’s focus is centered on being present and engaged throughout the community each day. She believes strong relationships and consistent interaction with residents, families, and staff are essential to providing high-quality care and creating a welcoming environment that feels like home.
Outside of her professional experience, LaToya enjoys activities that reflect her positive and energetic personality, including kickboxing, salsa and bachata dancing, karaoke, meditation, horseback riding, beach getaways, and white water rafting. Her love for meaningful connection carries into her leadership style and the supportive atmosphere she strives to create within the community.
“I thrive on finding the silver lining in every dark cloud,” LaToya said. “Being present allows me to truly see the value in the care and connections happening every day.”
Residents and families can expect to see LaToya actively involved throughout the community, participating in activities, connecting with residents, and supporting the Chantilly Heights team. Her passion for engagement, positivity, and personalized care aligns closely with the community’s mission of providing compassionate Alzheimer’s and dementia care in a safe, close-knit environment.
Chantilly Heights is excited for this new chapter and looks forward to the experience, warmth, and leadership LaToya brings to the community.
